Gentian Violet paint |

Composition: Gentian violet 1% aqueous solution.
Properties: Gentian violet is an antiseptic dye, which is effective against some gram positive bacteria, practically staphylococcus spp. and some pathogenic yeasts such as candida spp. . It is much less effective against acid fast bacteria and bacterial spores.
Indications: It is applied topically for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections.
Adverse
effect: Topical Application of crystal violet can produce irritation and ulceration to mucous membranes. Storage: store in proper conditions in well closed container away from heat and light.
