Physical Properties:

 A purified semisolid oil base, it is a mixture of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum. It is a pale yellow translucent soft unctuous mass, practically odorless and tasteless.

Uses:  

It is used as an ingredient of ointment bases also as skin protective and gives luster to hair.
