Composition:
Each 1ml contain Enrofloxacin 100mg.
Mode of
action:
By interferring the
bacterial DNA synthesis.
Indications:
Enrofloxacin has a great broad spectrum activity
against both Gram +ve and Ggram-ve pathogens
(Staphylococci, E.coli, Salmonella, Chlamydia, Brucella,
T.B. Legionella spp.) and Mycoplasma.
Poultry: Mycoplasmosis, complicated CRD,
Colisepticaemia, Arthritis, Salmonellosis, infectious
coryza; fowl cholera
Cattle, Sheep and Goats: Bronchopneumonia,
Pneumonia, Mastitis, Retention of placenta, Metritis,
Enteritis, Nephritis, Cystitis and urinary infections.
Dosage and
administrations:
Orally with water 10 mg/kg B.wt.
Poultry:1ml / 2 liter drinking water for 3-5
days.
Large
animals:
1ml / 20 kg Body weight for
1 day then 0.5 ml/20kg Body weight for 4-5 days.
Drug
interactions:
Antagonistic effect may appear when administered
together with chloramphenicol, Tetracycline or Macrolide
antibiotics. Also administration of Magnesium or
Aluminum salts reduce the absorption of Enrofloxacin.
Contraindications:
Not to be used for horses or growing dogs.
